The Growth of Slot Machines- Part 1

When you think about how far technology has come in the past few years you going to see a definite change in slots gaming. If you look at the average game just 10 years ago you’re going to see that it was vastly different from the games that you see now. Games were originally built to be three reels and have one pay line. Once technology stepped in though, this quickly changed. First developers started working with the number of pay lines the games had. This is a great way to make them that much more lucrative because it added different possibilities you could get to get better returns at the end of your gaming session. It was a great way to keep people interested to because everyone wants to maximize their money when they go to a casino. The interesting thing about slots gaming though is that the games can be very short-lived. Meaning, once you play through the-game there isn’t a whole lot more to look at… especially with the older versions of games. If you have three reels and just one pay line there’s only so much you can do as you wager on the game. This is where technology really came in handy and help to develop the games to a great new and. Once developers realized that people were growing bored with the games they quickly started working with them even more to see what they could do to expand them farther.

This is where the concept of more reels came into play. Three reels is a great way to play the actual game but if you increase it to five reels you have that many more chances of winning more money. This opened the door then for seven reel games and nine reel games. Once that happened there was a newfound market of slots gamers wanted to get in on the fun because they merely saw the benefits of working with games that had greater numbers of reels to work with. This was a huge advantage to the market because not only did it make the games more lucrative, but it meant a lot more fun for the gaming public wanting to take a chance with them.
