The Two Types of Slots Games- Part 2

    Friday, January 7th, 2011

After the reel slots came the video slots games. This is where technology stepped in and made the games that much more extensive and fun. The video slots on the other hand are games that come with multiple reels. It used to be just five, but now you can find games with five-reels, seven-reels and even nine-reels—depending on what you want as a gamer. Video slots also have multiple paylines, whereas reel slots have just one. Video slots also are the ones that come with the features that seasoned slots players love—bonus games, wilds, multipliers, scatters, etc. These are the games that developers are putting their efforts into rebuilding. They are constantly reworking the games to bring even more great gaming to the world. You can expect more features and fun with these games and over time that is going to make them even more fun. This is where developers have all their fun. They revamp and evolve the games to make them more exciting for the gaming public time and again.

Do which one should you play? It depends on your gaming style. If you like a basic game the three-reels may be enough for you to play on. You may love their straightforward and simple gaming styles. On the other hand, if you want a little more for your money you may love all the features a video slots game brings to the table. Your best bet is to just jump from both styles of gaming and take a shot at both. That is the great thing about the market today—you can find great casinos that offer everything in once place. You aren’t going to have to jump from one casino to another one. You can take your time to pick out a full service casino and then enjoy the gaming you find there. Most casinos today have a great selection of games and these include both reel slots and video slots games for you to enjoy. All you have to do is walk the aisles a few times before you start wagering and you are going to find them all.

The Two Types of Slots Games- Part 1

    Friday, January 7th, 2011

In the world of slots there are basically two different games: the video slot game and the reel slots game. The reel slots are the ones that have been around for over a century now. This is the one that first came into the market via the Liberty Bell way back in the last 1800s thanks to Charles Fey of San Francisco, California. Reel slots are the ones that take three coin wagers and have three reels. They are simple to understand and have a great gaming history of allowing everyone an equal chance at winning. This of course can be attributed to how the games are totally built on luck. You can’t do anything to increase your chances on a slots game. They are run by their RNG, or random number generator. As you spin the reels, the machine picks random numbers. Those random numbers correspond to spaces on the reels. They come up and that is what you see on the screen. Then, based on matches or no matches, you get paid out or not. It is a tried and true way of wagering and has worked for hte gaming public for over a century now. More and more gamers are coming into the market too and that shows how the games are flexible and meed a variety of gaming needs for millions of gamers and tens-of-millions over the years.

The other thing about reel slots is that they are highly affordable. Even if you only have a few dollars to wager with, you are still going to find a reel slots that can accommodate. The games are traditionally lower wager and that means that you have a great shot at maintaining your bankroll limits– whatever they are– and still possibly winning some returns. This is a huge part of the draw of the games. They don’t cost an arm and a leg to play. Consider that in the average casino a blackjack table can cost upwards of $25 to get in on; a poker table even more. Slots are the few games that come with penny, nickel, dime, and quarter-per spin configurations.

The Most Popular 5-Reel Slots- Part 1

    Monday, January 3rd, 2011

In the world of slots gaming five-reel games are by far the most popular. Software companies love them because of how many options they give for development. You can’t do as much with three reeled games and the higher number of reels on a game, normally the more a company has to work with it. Plus, five-reel games are the most popular. Why should they put millions of dollars into developing seven-reel games when the five-reels have by no means seen a decline in revenue. In fact, they have quickly risen in numbers and brought in more and more to the market. Software developers are working intently on five-reel slots games and bringing better bonuses to them, more wilds, more scatters and bigger multipliers. This can only mean good things for players. Test New “Skill Stop” Slots Games

    Thursday, December 30th, 2010

If you are looking for a new game to test out then try the “skill stop” games. These are games that are akin to slots games, but they have an added element of skill to them. If you find these games one of the benefits is that they are normally a lot more affordable than ‘normal’ slots games. These machines come with a set number of coins too—so you won’t be putting in real money. Rather, you purchase coins with the machines and then can wager with the chips instead. This is an added element that is different than traditional slots gaming and can add some variation to the games if you are at all bored with them. There also is the quality that these machines are much more affordable. Normally casino owners pay thousands for regular slots games. Of course it is an investment because they know that that machine in the end is going to bring in hundreds-of-thousands of dollars in return. “Skill stop” games on the other hand cost about a tenth of what a normal slots games does. They still bring in revenue, but not at the same level. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing though—they still offer a lot in terms of fun and gaming to the players who pick them.

The games also are called “Pachislo” machines. This is a combination of pachinko, which means pin ball machines and slots games, and regular slots games. Most states throughout the country offer these games legally but as normal you should make sure that tin your jurisdiction the games are legal. You want to always be responsible in gaming to make sure that you are on the up and up regarding wagering. One of the best things about gaming today is that there are changes on a monthly basis. Boredom isn’t likely with the many options you have available. If you are interested in a new variation of gaming, then test out the “skill stop” games. You also get to hit a button that stops every reel from spinning. This adds somewhat of an element of skill- hence the name- so you can have an exciting gaming time for your next run to the casino with these games.

How to Use the “Stop Spin” Feature

    Tuesday, July 27th, 2010

If you are a fan of slots no doubt you have come in contact with the “stop spin” feature. Many slots players are constantly looking for variations of the game and this feature affords the player an interesting spin on the game. The great thing about online gaming today is that developers and operators are working overtime to use technology. They want to create the best games with the best features possible. The reality is that the world of online gambling is highly competitive. If you as a customer can’t find what you want at one casino, there are a wide range of others that will offer what you want. For this reason, operators know that they need to bring the best games with the best features to the market or they will lose out on customers.
The stop spin feature is available in a lot of slots today. With this feature, players can press a button and the reels stop. This is instead of waiting for the reels to stop on their own. Though it gives you an added interaction to the game and some control, remember that it still works on a random number generator. You won’t be able to dictate the reels, just when they stop and show the random numbers. A slot machine by nature works on the RNG, random number generator, and that means that it is purely luck where the reels end up. Nothing you do influences where the reels stop or the payout you get.
The stop spin feature does have some advantage and that is in timing. It allows you to play more games, i.e. spin the reels more, during your gaming session. Rather than having to wait for the reels to stop spinning, you can cut that time short and spin again. If you have a strict time to gamble, this may be the best option for you. You can fit in more chances at a win by using the stop spin feature as you play the slots. As long as you understand that the game itself is still random, you can start using the stop spin feature as a time-management of gaming.

Deciding on a Video Slot or a Reel-Type Machine

    Monday, March 22nd, 2010

In the world of slots gaming there are two types of games to concern yourself with. There is the video slot game or the reel-type slot machine. The video slots games are much flashier and give a great gaming session to any player. These are the games that are usually filled with excited players when you go to a land-based casino. Another thing to remember is that manufacturers of video slots are consistently adding paylines to make the games more exciting. They are also adding to the number of coins you wager per payline. They do this because it adds to the time it takes per spin. Casinos are losing revenue because of the more time needed to spin per person so by increasing the odds and benefits, they are hopingthat gamers continue to play more. They are trying to make it more beneficial for gamers.

The general gaming public is now left with not only an added number of paylines, but also the ability to play more coins. Many of the latest video slots games work with a minimum of 9 paylines and players can work with a varying number of coins from 1 to a maximum of 10 on each line offered. The average on the newer machines is 5 individual coins per activated line and that means a maximum wager of forty-five coins. That means that the new gives give you a maximum bet of $2.25 for a 5¢ machine and $11.25 per spin for a 25¢ machine. Remember that it can cost a little more to play video slots, so be sure that your bankroll is ready to handle the extra coins needed to play for a consistently long period of time. That doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t play video slots, it just means that you should consider how much you can play over time and then portion out your entire bankroll so you can. You may have to stretch your budget or alter your gaming habits, but the games themselves are worth the added bonus. You’ll find that video slots are a lot of fun and offer some great gaming in addition to table games and other strategy games you enjoy at an online casino.

Try Out 7-Reel Slots for Added Online Fun

    Friday, October 23rd, 2009

Fans of the slot game should know about the variety of style out there.  There is the basic 3-reel game and the 5-reel.  There are even 7-reel games. Each one can have just one payline or up to a whopping 50 paylines. If you are a fan of the slots and have some experience with the hobby, why not test out some 7-reel slots?

The 7-reel slot is relatively new to the market and took some time to catch on.  People were too accustomed to the traditional 3-reel game to test out the newer 7-reel one. Although the 5-reel game was also available, some how the “7” was a daunting jump beyond five.  A lot of online casinos also didn’t include the 7-reel game in their list of slots games.  Thankfully some online slots casinos did take a chance and featured the games. They worked with promotions and advertising to come up with games that offered hefty bonuses and specials if players took their chances at the 7-reel slot game.  They are now a staple in the world of slots and are still gaining notoriety. They aren’t as popular as the 3 and 5-reel versions, but people are realizing that there is a payoff if they test their luck at them.

The 7-reel slots are just that—slots that have 7 reels and three rows. Just like their 3 and 5-reel counterparts, 7-reel games have a huge array of themes, symbols, graphics capabilities and sound affects. Although the games don’t offer bonus games or features, in general, they do have an added chance of winning. The two extra reels do increase your chances of getting a winning combination. You get seven paylines to make up a big win.

When you are playing 7-reel slots there may be an initial intimidation time due to the extra two reels.  In actuality however, these games can be easier to play than other types of slots. The reason is because they have very simple pay tables. If you get three of any symbol across the seven paylines, you win.  It’s a very straightforward type of slots game and you don’t even have to worry about special symbols and bonus features. You just spin the reels and take your chances on a win.  There are three steps to playing 7-reel slots games, just like there are in 3 and 5-reel games.

First, you need to decide on your line bet, just like you would with a 5-reel game.  Then remember that that bet will be multiplied by the seven paylines if you win. That will be your total bet.  Next, you have to select the paylines on the screen. There will be a “BET MAX” button that will select all seven of the paylines automatically if you choose it.  Finally, hit the spin just like you would with a smaller slots game. There is no need to be intimidated by a 7-reel slots game. Sure there are some tradeoffs, but the ease of play and straightforwardness of the game should be enough to keep you coming back!

    History of the Slot Machine

    Thursday, October 8th, 2009

Fans of online gaming are moving quickly to the old standby game of slots. Slots have been popular in land-based casinos for decades. In fact, it was the one-armed bandit that first began the gambling craze way back in the 1800s. Charles Fey was the first one to create the machine and called it The Liberty Bell in 1895. It took off almost immediately and he was unable to keep up with the demand for the machine. Though Fey was based in San Francisco, California, places as far away as Brooklyn New York were clamoring for their own slot machine.

It was in 1891 that Sittman and Pitt of New York took Fey’s prototype and developed it into what would be the closest version of today’s slots machine.  It had five reels and held 50 face cards based on the symbols found in poker.  The machine took off, just like Fey’s did. It too had a long waiting list of customers wanting to bring their own slots machine to their bar or pub. Of course prices were different. The biggest wager was for a nickel, but if players won, they could receive a payout of up to $50. In that day, $50 was like thousands in today’s world.

Throughout the years the slot machine took on many generations of development. It also was modified to include various themes. Instead of using just the poker-related symbols, almost every genre and hobby was replicated on the reels of a slots machine.

In today’s world of online gaming, online slots are just as popular. They have come out to meet their own set of demands but due to the global market created by the internet, it’s easy to bring the newest slots to even the most remote areas. If you have internet, you have online slots to play. The same care in development has been put into online slots. Regardless of what your preferences are, you’ll find it somewhere. Just look at online slots parlors and you’ll find not only games that fit in with your hobbies, but also your budgets. Online slots are a great gambling pastime. Check them out and you’re sure to have hours of fun.
