    Wednesday, January 12th, 2011

The world of slots gaming is growing and some people are asking themselves if gambling with their money is worth it. The answer of course is “it depends.” There are some reasons to wager and some are fun, while others can go either way. Still, slots’ gaming is one of the most popular things in the world today in terms of hobbies and with good reason. What other hobby lets you have fun for hours while taking a chance at winning a good payout? There are few, and gambling at the slots is one of the few activities that also allow you to wager regardless of your bankroll limit. You can find games that are penny slots if you need smaller wager games and you can find games with upwards of $50 per spin limits to them. Games are so varied now that you most likely are going to find more than a few that are favorites relatively quickly. There are reasons to wager on slots and here are some of the most popular:

    • Winning big payouts. This is the reason why a lot of gamers take their chances at the slots. They know that the games are totally built on luck and love the idea of not knowing whether or not the next spin will bring them the big payout. They know that they odds are against them, but that makes gambling that much more fun. Not knowing the outcome is what keeps them coming back for more. Plus, if they do make a few small wins, it makes them that much more willing to keep going.
    • Gaming session. This is another reason why people wager on slots machines. No other games are as varied as slots and the games come with so many options now that you are going to never run out of new ones to play. This only makes them that much more intriguing. They can offer hours of gaming fun that is exciting and affordable. Most gamers play for the great gaming session the games afford because they know how much developers put into the games these days.

    Penny Slots Remain Popular

    Thursday, January 6th, 2011

One of the things that the recession did was to change the perception of penny-slots. A few decades ago the penny slots were few and far between. It took some time for the market for the games to come up. One of the best ways to promote the games though has been for the market to fall. The recession of 2008/2009 was a prime example of how things work in the world of penny-slots gaming. The biggest problem with the recession was that it put people out of work! Millions of people ended up in the unemployment lines and had to cut back on all of their spending. That of course included the market of gambling altogether. No one had the money to keep visiting their local gambling casino for slots or any other games. The casinos realized that the market was down and most likely they would be unable to spur business without some proactive changes. They started to make changes like building promotions around games that had a low wager requirements. This included promoting their penny slots games.

The thing about penny slots is that they aren’t compromised games. They come with the same elements of fun that other games have. You can find great penny slots with outstanding symbols and bonus games. They canalso come with great payouts and wilds, along with scatters. This was a great advantage for the market of gambling. They started immediately working with the penny slots because they seemed to still be bringing in customers. It was all they could afford, so rather than discounting the games, gaming operators started working with them strategically. The games were developed and gaming software companies built promotions around them. Possibly by introducing a new game and coming up with a great start-up bonus. They also tried to build promotions around new games. This was a great way to bring slots lovers back to the market. They worked with gaming companies to come for the bonuses and specials. Despite being unable to wager on top-dollar slots, they still were drawn in by games that brought big chances of winning. This is continuing in the market though things are changing. People are opening their wallets once again to wager, but they are still intrigued by the slots out there.

New Slots Games Flooding the Market

    Tuesday, December 14th, 2010

If you are looking for new slots games, then you are in luck. In the market today, companies are making moves to provide various outstanding games to the market. The cat is out of the bag–slots are some of the most popular games in the market. A recent study done by Las Vegas casinos proved that the games are some of the most consistently performing games in the world of gambling. For this reason, development companies are working over time to bring new games to the market. They want to build games that are going to sell. It seems that people who wager on slots want one thing- to have a great gaming experience. There is a small group that plays to win but they understand the odds involved. Most likely you are not going to win at slots, and gamers know that. No longer are gamers new to the casinos. Now the market for slots players is highly sophisticated. They know the odds and opt to play anyway. This is something that gaming developers know and are trying to make improvements in. Companies want to make sure they keep providing the best games so that gamers keep coming in.

The reality in gambing is that as long as you are wagering, the casino is making money. It’s just like land based casinos. A land based casino creates promotions to keep people there as long as possible because they will put more of their own money into the games. The same is true of online gaming companies. They want to keep your interest. Although the games are not paying out that often, casinos are building promotions that still offer more to the gamer. Though they may not win the big payout, they can still win a lot of extras thanks to the gaming structure of the overall games. For example, you can play a game for an hour and have access to a casino’s random bonus. This way you may not win the big game, but you still get to take advantage of the extra bonuses the casino is offering. Test out slots gaming and have a lot of fun with them. You are going to love the gaming experiences and the way that casinos are building games today.

Why Slots Remain Popular- Part 1

    Tuesday, December 14th, 2010

Do you love slots gaming? You are not alone—there are millions of other people who are wagering on slots at any given time throughout their weeks. There is a reason why games have grown so quickly in the market and why they are now the most played games you are going to find. A study done by Las Vegas showed that slots gaming makes up about 60% of their overall income streams. It happened secretly though. No one though initially that slots games were going to develop into such solid games of income generation. Everyone thought that the large-wager requiring games were the ones bringing in the most money. But then casinos started doing the math. Let’s say a table game requires $50 to play and five players wager on it, six times a day. You would think because of the bigger buy-in, the game would be lucrative for the casino. Let’s say the casino in the end brings in $3,000 on the game, including rebuys. Now let’s consider a slots game. It only takes $1 to spin. On average people spin 100-times per hour. So let’s say that fifty players wager $1 at a rate of 100-spins per hour for ten hours of that same day. At the end of that day, those fifty $1-machines have brought in $50,000. Even if they games payout, you can see how much larger their overall revenue stream is. What Las Vegas game operators realized is that slots are the games lucrative and the big steady money-makers of the casino.

It is no wonder why gaming companies are developing more and more slots games. They know how popular the games are. Plus their varying wager-requirements mean that they fit into every bankroll. Even if a player has to stick to the penny or nickel slots, they still are able to wager over the long haul. The games are some of the most exciting games in the world. Plus their flexibility of gaming styles is another reason why they are so popular. Consider that the slots games are customizable for developers. They can work with a new style of game or theme, and easily translate it into a new slots game for the market.

Slots Still Making Waves in Market

    Friday, December 10th, 2010

In the world of gambling you are going to have to do a little research. One of the games involving the least amount of it though are the slots. Slots are those “one-armed bandits” that you see in the parlors. The great thing about the games is that they don’t require a lot of preplanning to tackle. Normally all you have to do is to categorize the game as a regular game or a progressive game. You also may look for games with special features like bonus games, wilds, scatters and multiplier bonuses. These are some of the most lucrative characteristics of a game today and finding ways to manage them all is going to contribute to the overall payouts you are getting. One of the biggest elements of a slots game is the payout percentage. If you have ever been in a land based casino then you most likely have seen the sticker on a slot machine that explains it. Sure the games are relatively self-explanatory, but you want to make sure that you read the individual payout percentages of every game that you want to try working with. In the world of slots gaming payout percentages are everything.

Slot machines come with payout percentages anywhere from 75-97%. The percentage means that if the game has a 97.5% payout percentage, then it pays out $97.50 for every $100 wagered by gamers. Does that mean that if you wager $100, you get $97.50 back? Of course not—the payout percentage is applicable for the “long term.” That does not apply to a two-hour, ten-hour or even twenty-hour gaming session. This could mean over the course of the entire game’s lifespan. This could be years—over the span of that time, all the people who wager on the games are going to get their money back at this rate. Of course if you are wagering at a slots parlor, you want to pick the games that have the highest percentage payouts of all. Even though two games may be separated by just a few percentage points in payout, this does make a difference. In the world of gambling, remember that the house has the overall edge, and you want to take advantage of any small change in that payout that you can.

    Advantages of Slots Gaming

    Monday, November 8th, 2010

If you have yet to try slots gaming, then what are you waiting for? There are a lot of advantages to working with slots gambling. First of all, if you are working at all with a limited bankroll, slots could be the perfect solution. If you want to wager at the poker table or the blackjack table in a top-dollar casino, you could be in for an expensive night. In particular the games that offer a huge payout pool or have some big jackpot attached are the ones that require a top dollar investment from the beginning. In today’s market there aren’t that many people who have top dollar bank rolls to work with that kind of financial commitment. This is why slots are so popular. You can find a great slots game that charges only a quarter. You can find a great slots game that charges a dime, a nickel and even a penny. This is a huge advantage to anyone who has to watch their bankroll carefully.

Another advantage of the slot machines are the vast array of them that are available in the market. You won’t have to play on just one style of game. Developers realize how lucrative gambling is and slots in particular. They are pushing for development of the games and are making them better and better through the use of technology and their online capabilities. It isn’t one of those things that is stifled or limited. You can look at the slots market one month and the next month there will be a long list of changes to make the games better. Finally, slots’ gaming offers a wide range of bonuses for gamblers. In today’s slots market developers are creating bigger and better payouts. Though you may have a limited bankroll, you aren’t going to have a problem finding bonuses regardless of how much you wagered in the first place. It is simple to find specials and bonuses to take advantage of. Think of how much fun it would be to wager on a penny-slots game, and then win $100 in a special bonus payout! This is part of what makes slots gaming so popular with so many different people.

    Slots Taking over Maryland Market

    Thursday, October 21st, 2010

If any state knows about gambling changes it is Maryland. The state has long had a plan for gambling, but has never had the actual blueprint to make it happen…until now. Voters first came together and decided to allow slots parlors into the market back in 2008. They were wowed by the amount of tax revenue dollars that casinos would bring in and the potential uses for that money. State legislators promised that a huge amount of the revenues coming in from slot games would go to education and the racing market. People were convinced easily that gambling was the thing to take them into the new market and voted a resounding yes to slot parlors being built in their borders. Many gamblers were not keen on continuing to drive to far off locations for their gambling needs. They got used to the trek, but if given the chance would want something closer…and that is exactly what they got!

Hollywood Casino is the first of four slots parlors to be opened in the state of Maryland in coming months hopefully. The casino opened earlier this month and already has a great fan base and lots of rave reviews from gamblers in the state. There also is a plan to bring slots to Ocean Downs Race Track on the Eastern Shore. This is supposed to happen by the end of the year, but operators are now warning that due to the weather they may have to put the change of until next year. There also are two more slots parlors being discussed for Baltimore’s Inner Harbor and Anne Arundel County. Though these both are huge plans, they are just that right now. There are plenty of legal and political ramifications attached to these locations and those are going to have to play out before the plans for actually realizing them are going to be made. There also is another proposal on the table to bring slots to Rocky Gap Lodge & Golf Resort, but that is still in the nascent stages of planning. It will take time for the market, but it looks like Maryland has made the official move to the world of slots gaming and it is already a successful one. Most likely it will continue to expand as much as the market can handle in coming months.

    Testing Slots Gambling

    Sunday, October 10th, 2010

Over the years slots have developed into one of the most, if not the most, popular games on a casino floor. There is a good reason for this and anyone who knows what the games have to offer can predict that they are huge money-makers. They all began back in the late 1800s when Charles Fey originated the first game called The Liberty Bell. It was a “freedom-themed” game that capitalized on the famous bell. Within a few years a major manufacturer joined up with Fey to build and market the machine. Soon it took off. Though Fey was a resident of San Francisco, California and that is where the game was first introduced, it took off quickly and was in demand in places as far as New York City. Pub and bar owners throughout the country wanted the games in their establishments because they immediately knew how much fun the games were and in turn how lucrative they were. Not only did the games bring in their own revenue stream, but they also kept people in the bars. If people stay in bars, they most likely are also going to keep drinking. It was a great situation for business owners to be in.

In the forties the games because staples for wives of high-rollers. The husbands went to the higher-priced table games with their fortunes, while wives busied themselves with the slot parlor games. They wagered much smaller amounts, but wagered much more consistently. Though men wagered huge amounts, rarely did they walk away with a big win. On the other hand, women came away breaking even more than a few times. Now the games are just as popular as they were in former years, in fact they have taken over as the number one games on the casino floor. They come in a huge variety of styles and themes and no doubt almost everyone can find the perfect game for their style of gambling. Look at the various games in a casino and soon most likely you are going to come up with your own favorites. They offer a lot of fun and if you get lucky, can offer a great payout too.

The Most Popular Games are Still Slots

    Sunday, October 10th, 2010

If you are a new slots gamer and do an online search, most likely you are going to find a long list of “helpful” strategies at your disposal. There are hundreds of “experts” out there who claim to have the 100%-fool-proof way for you to “walk away from any slots game a winner.” How truthful are these advertisers? To find out the answer to this, you have to look at slots games and see how they work. If you were looking at a game like poker, the rules are vastly different. Poker is one of those games that has a strategy to it. You can work with it and practice. If you practice enough, you are no doubt going to get better as a player. It will not only make you a better player, but it will increase your wins over the long term. Poker is one of those games that is played by millions of people for just that reason—it can be taught and learned. It has a huge learning curve that can be worked on over the years of study and play. Then there are slots…

The world of slots is vastly different than poker. While poker has a strategy, slots don’t. All slots games are run by a mechanism within them called an RNG, or random number generator. This RNG is what dictates a certain number, and then the corresponding reel symbol shows up. Everything about a slots game is dependent on this RNG and it cannot be tampered with in any way. So what about strategy? With slots, there is no strategy. No matter how much you try there is no way you can increase your wins at the game. If you see people claiming to have a strategy, they are lying. There isn’t one. Though this may sound like bad news, it really isn’t if you understand the purpose of the games. A slots game isn’t one that helps you hone any skill or strategy. Rather, it is purely for fun and relies on luck. If you want to just play for fun, these are some of the best games to invest in. You aren’t going to be disappointed with the games and if you get lucky, you could walk away with a great payout.

    Why Slots are So Popular

    Sunday, October 10th, 2010

Anyone who has played in a heated poker tournament knows the anxiety and stress it can create. You are sitting on a good hand, but don’t know what your opponents have. They are all wagering high, but it could be a bluff. You still can afford to match their wager, but aren’t sure if you want to. In the end, you opt to stay in the game and try to test your own luck. Whether or not it pays off is moot, but the game sure got your heart pumping. It caused a lot of excitement but along with that feeling came stress. A lot of strategy gamers get burned out because of that stress. They know that their next wager is going to be a difficult call—they could lose everything or they could walk away a winner. Though games of strategy offer their own payouts, a lot of gamers want a relaxing game to just veg out with. If this is you, why not try slots gaming?

Slots appeal to a wide variety of gamers and with good reason. The games are based on nothing more than luck. There is no skill to be developed or strategy. They are merely games where you either have luck that day, or you don’t. Sure you don’t have any say in that, but the games still are the answer to a lot of stressed-out gamers’ prayers. They know that with slots gaming that stress factor just isn’t there. You can play a slots game and know that the lack of strategy is relaxing. Pick a game based on your bankroll, but then sit back and wager accordingly. For example, if you have $200 to wager and want to wager for three hours, then find games that let you wager $67ish dollars an hour. It’s that simple. It’s no wonder why millions of gamblers love slots. They are one of the most stress-free games on the casino floor these days. While other games come with long-winded strategies and needed skill levels, slots are simple, innocuous and a lot of fun. Who can beat that in the pressure of today’s society?
