Theme Integration and the Slots Games

    Tuesday, May 31st, 2011

If you are a fan of the slots then no doubt you have worked with plenty of them. The biggest element of fun to the slots game is the theme. You will find that developers are working with about every theme they can think of right now and bringing it to the market. They know that if they can continue to develop the amount of themes out there they can attract that many more gamblers. They know full well that gamers are fickle right now. A good gambler is going to spend some time finding the perfect game to try. They know what to look for in terms of bonuses and payout, so all that is left is finding a theme that they like. Themes come in every form imaginable—from food to movies and sports figures to shopping. You are likely to find the game of choice with a little searching. Gambling companies know this and they are going to expand on it accordingly. The market right now is one that is growing and that means to maximize their revenue they have to work with as many gambler’s preferences as possible. Themes are also very well integrated into a game too. All you have to do is play a few games and you are going to see how well the company integrates full theme into the game. It all starts likely with the background where you are going to find some backdrop directly related to the game. Then the reels are going to be fixed with a number of theme-related elements.

You also are going to find games that have bonus games directly relating to the theme. For example, let’s say you are wagering on a game with a theme of fish. The bonus game could offer you ten fishing pole and depending on which one you choose, you get a special bonus. This is how the casino company is going to keep the game relevant to the overall theme going along with it. You also are going to get games that have good theme integration into their soundtrack and sound. This is another way to make you feel like you are truly surrounded by the theme and add to the richness of the overall slots game.

NV Slots Market On the Rise

    Monday, May 30th, 2011

Nevada gaming officials are working hard to reinvigorate their market. Right now if you go to the state’s slots parlors you are going to see some of the greatest bonuses possible. The market is something that is still in a state of flux right now. The recession was hard on the gambling world. Locations like Las Vegas suffered more because they had no secondary market to rely on as the numbers were so severely down. That means that they had to maintain their casinos on a much more limited budget. Land- based gaming companies have huge overheads to work with on a monthly basis. They have to deal with utilities, rental payments, waitstaff, salaries for managers, dealers, promotions, etc. This is something that is stifling the gambling world right now. The huge problem is that people were stifled throughout the entirety of the recession and it lasted well over twenty-four months. Now, things are first reviving slightly. They are turning around but much slower than casino operators had hoped. They are now considering coming up with new promotions to bring in gambilng change. The people who are supporting casinos are doing so in much smaller numbers right now.

Gaming operators are working hard though. In Nevada you are going to find some of the biggest bonuses and promotions right now. They are coming in with huge benefits to the gamer. Not only can you work with them and combine them, but you can also work with them individually to make sure you are making the most of your promotions. As a result of the hefty promotions, the numbers in Nevada are on the rise. New studies are showing that gamers are once again returning to the market. They are hoping for change and coming up with some of the best bonuses, and people are responding well. The revenue are slowly on the rise. Though the biggest problem is that numbers were so low that they are going to have to rise considerably before gambling casinos return to the old numbers. This isn’t stopping them from putting in their best efforts though to bring on change. This happily is creating some of the best offerings in the market right now for gamers to take advantage of.

IL Looks to Slots to Save Racetrack Market

    Monday, May 30th, 2011

There are five major racetracks throughout the state of Illinois and since the recession, and just prior, their numbers have been dangerously down. The fact is that gambling as a whole suffered during the recession. People had no extra money to work with for developing the market. They had to focus on making ends meet rather than building any type of gambling plan. The problem was that gambling is built completely on the idea that gamblers have discretionary money. They can pay their bills and then some, and still have an additional amount of money to work with. Though this prior was the truth, once the recession happened it caused a huge shift in the market that stifled the overall gambling market. No longer were people able to visit the casinos and come up with the same amount of play-dollars to work with. Suddenly, they had one of two choices. Either they had to cut back on gambling altogether or they had to stick to the lower wager games like slots for their gambling fun. This change though soon affected the world of racetrack gaming in the state. Though there are five locations for racing in the state of Illinois, there are all suffering. During the recession, people didn’t have the funds to wager at the racetracks and now that the recession is over, they still aren’t returning to the racing world for support.

Racetracks are declining in numbers and requesting that they are allowed to bring in slots gambling. Illinois legislators are currently looking at the options and seeing what they can do in terms of revamping the gaming market to accommodate. Racing needs help though if it is to remain. This is something that is becoming a bigger problem than ever for racing. They want to harness the power of slots gambling and use it to help build up the dollars. Slots can then be used to generate money. This money can be used to fuel bigger purses. Bigger purses in turn should allow for more gamblers to come in and start wagering on the races too. This is what racetrack owners are hoping for but they still have some work to do in terms of getting approval from legislators.

Slots Gambling and Social Networking Collide

    Monday, May 30th, 2011

If you have been watching the development of the online world then you know how important social networking is to the entire process. There are more possibilities with online social networking right now than there are in the “regular” marketing world. In the past if a company wanted to brand itself or introduce a new product/service, they had to embark on a huge promotional and advertising plan. They had to get together their own budgets for these items on their books and be ready to pay. Their advertising included everything from flyering to television promotions and radio spots to newspaper ads. It was something that every company had to do to keep up with the market and stay relevant. If you wanted customers then you had to keep on working with a good advertising plan. Enter 2011 and social networking…once the social networking websites entered the mix, everything changed. Suddenly people were able to communicate with long-lost friends and family with a few clicks of a mouse. That soon spilled over into the online business world. Suddenly managers and owners realized what a tool they had at their fingertips to showcase their online marketing prowess… and it was all free! Where else could they find such an effective tool as that? In the past they spent millions on advertising and suddenly they were able to get their products and promotions out with just one “tweet” or Facebook post.

Slots gambling is popular already but slots promoters are jumping on the social networking bandwagon due to how effective and cost-efficient it really is. Right now if you have a favorite online slots parlor likely they have a social networking presence and they showcase themselves there. If you love to wager, then you are going to also find some great deals there. A lot of times gambling comapnies use their Twitter, Myspace and Facebook profiles to promote discounts or specials to their followers/fans. It is a great way for them to keep getting their promotions out there and for gamblers to find more specials. If you love one specific online slots parlor check to see if it has an online social networking account. It could be a great way to get yourself back that much more in dollars and gaming fun.

US Online Slots Market Ready to Open Up

    Monday, May 30th, 2011

You are going to find more companies than ever lining up to take advantage of the changing US market. Of course the US is still working under the restraints and the sketchiness of the UIGEA, or Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006, but it is on the verge of change. The fact is that slots gambling is growing in popularity right now. It is something that has taken over the land- based gambling market and now is making the same showing in the virtual marketplace. People love the games because of how flexible they are, how lucrative they can be and how much fun is packed into them. The US market for slots is huge and for the most part, gamblers have to go to either land- based or offshore companies to wager on them. This may be changing though. The legislators in the country are working to find an amendment to the UIGEA that would allow for gambling to truly financially benefit the country. This is a big-business pursuit and that means that few legislators are completely incensed at the idea of using it to generate much- needed funds. The UIGEA was supposed to eliminate the US gambling market but all it did was prove that prohibition does not work. People shifted to offshore companies and used them to wager at. This of course cost the US market billions of dollars and now legislators are trying to rethink their former decisions.

One thing you are going to find is that now that everyone knows how popular slots gambling is, they are watching the US. You are going to see a lot of bigger casino companies setting themselves up to quickly move into the market when the door is opened for online gambling. They are setting up shop to swoop in and take over the market. Everyone in gambling knows how much money in US dollars are involved in gaming and they want a piece of it. Companies are getting ready and that legalization may be close. States are already seriously contemplating the necessary changes to make things work. They want to come up with the money needed to chip away at deficits and start wagering as a reliable way to generate revenue for decades to come.

ASA Cites 888.com For Advertising Slip-up

    Saturday, May 14th, 2011

The question of advertising slots is up in the air right now. This time it was Facebook that is in the center of the argument. Back in February of this year, the social networking website offered a pop-under ad that solicited gamblers to spin the reels at the slots game on 888.com for free. The ad asked potential customers to take a shot at the games with no risk by signing up at the casino. The move was a normal promotional move that thousands of other advertisers go through with the popular networking website. The traffic at the website is well into the billions every month now and that means that people are viewing the website all the time to see what they can find out and keep up with other advertisers. It is big business to advertise on Facebook due to how popular the website is and 888.com thought its advertising would be looked at on the same level as any other business trying to promote itself. Little did their operators know that they would be opening the door to a complaint and a formal warning from British Ad authorities, the ASA. The innocent ad got one complaint and that led to an official investigation by the ASA into the practices of Facebook regarding gambling and 888.com’s promotional planning objectives. It wasn’t gambling itself that the ASA had a problem with, but rather how the ad began with the words “Addicted to Slots?” and trivialized the problem.

The three-word byline seemed to say “if you are addicted, why not come to 888.com for gaming?” This mismanaged message is what the ASA has a problem with and what the investigation is all about. They also are taking up cause against the “FREE” note on the additional information within the ad. That free gambling is what they are now having a serious problem with and calling the company to acccount for their words. ASA in the mean time demanded that 888.com remove the ad from their Facebook campaign and never use it again regardless of what the investigation eventually turns out. This is a sign of how ads and gambling right now are having problems working together. There will inevitably be more problems coming up in the future for both entities as they try to work together.

MD Still Pining for Gambling Title for Northeast

    Saturday, May 14th, 2011

Maryland is another state that has embarked on a hefty slots plan. The state’s legislators realize the power of gaming and in particular, slots games. They know that the games account for over sixty-percent of the overall revenue that casinos bring in. That means that the games are popular and lucrative- a winning combination for casino operators to work with. The state of Maryland has its own plan with its newer Hollywood Casino. This is a location that has a huge number of slots games to pick from. It is going head-to-head with neighboring states too. Remember that Maryland is in a prime area for growth right now. In former years it was Atlantic City that was holding the title for biggest gambling area in the northeastern part of the US. Atlantic City grew to the point of being a mini-Vegas and millions of people visited it every year for their gambling needs. Once the recession happened though, it caused a great shift in gaming. People suddenly cut back on their wagering overall due to lack of funds. Once the recession was over though, they still started to return to gambling but not in the same way. Suddenly people were more readily venturing to the online casinos than the land—based ones and that included Atlantic City. So far the location in New Jersey has had a hard time coming up with revival. The state of New Jersey is losing its northeastern grip on the market. This is where Maryland comes in.

Now that New Jersey has taken a misstep, it leaves the door open for another state to take over the title of northeastern slots gaming hotspot and it looks like Maryland officials are hoping their Hollywood Casino can help absorb the market. Though the casino has only be up and running since September, legislators are already happy to welcome millions of dollars in revenue thanks to slots games. It was back in 2008 when a referendum vote pushed slots gaming into the market and legislators have not looked back since. Now Hollywood Casino’s slots games are showing a huge revenue to the state and lawmakers are happy they allowed it to open up for the state.

IL Racetracks Still Fighting for Slots

    Friday, May 13th, 2011

The state of Illinois has a lot of debates going on regarding slots gambling. Right now there are plenty of different issues going on legally about how to use the games. One of the biggest issues is for racetracks in the state. Arlington Racetrack is a park that has suffered in numbers since the recession. There have not been many signs of revival for the racing market all over the country. Racetracks are one business that seems to be lagging on reviving even though the recession is over. Racing operators are not ready to give up though- they are trying to come up with different ways of reviving their businesses. The problem is that they don’t have a steady stream of customers patronizing them anymore. To change this, they are trying to come up with ways of bringing more gamblers into the market right now. One way would be to bring in slots games. The slots of course are some of the most popular games in the world and they have enough power to draw the market that racetracks need. Slots are powerful games and they have proven their worth time and time again in the world of gambling. Now racetrack owners are next in line to try to benefit from the games. The operators are hoping that they can come up with new promotions to bring people into the gambling world. If they can, they can use that added revenue as a means of bringing in money and creating more promotions as they continue to wager. That money can then be put into building purses that attract even more gamblers into their tracks.

Illinois is a state though whose legislators are still up in the air regarding the games. Legislators who are hopeful about Arlington Racetrack are pushing the village board to make a decision regarding allowing slots into the race park floor. They want a final decision so they can see where the market of gambling is going for racetracks. It could not only revive their market, but potentially save it. The racing market is highly in jeopardy right now and having a new way to turn things around is not only important, but could be a necessity for survival.
