New Slots Players Start Here- Part 1
Thursday, January 6th, 2011If you are new to the world of slots gaming, then you should know the basics. First of all, the games aren’t hard. The draw of slots is that they are so simple to play. Take blackjack for example- in a game of blackjack you are going to have to spend some time practicing the basic strategy chart, committing it to memory and learning to use it. Without that first basic step you can count on losing your money consistently. If you want to start winning you have to put your time into practicing the game. The same goes for poker. It is a great game, but you have to come up and hone your own strategy to get good at it. This isn’t how slots work. With slots you have to just play and everything is laid out for you. There is no practice time or studying required. This is the draw of the games and why so many people love to sit at them for hours at a time playing.
Secondly, there are a few tips though that you have to bring with you whenever you are gambling. You have to remember that protecting your money should be your primary concern. A casino isn’t going to make this easy for you. For example, why do you think that as long as you are wagering, they are bringing your free drinks? They want you to sit there and wager again and again. They know that the longer you stay, the more money you wager; the more money you wager, the more money they earn. If you walk into a land-based casino you are going to see the number of promotions and bonuses all dressed up in lights and fancy signage. This is there for a reason too- to get you to play them. You have to set your own limits in gambling and that includes slots gaming. You should set a strict bankroll well before you get to the casino. Make sure it is not more than you can afford to lose. Once that amount is gone, you stop wagering. Of course the casino is going to offer you as much as possible to keep you there, but you have to protect your money at all costs. This is the number one thing to remember with slots gaming.
