When it comes to finding help with slots, look no further. There are some great resources on the market that offer a lot of help. Sure the games are based on the RNG, random number generator, and the outcomes cannot be influenced, but there are still some things to learn. Here are some of the top books available on the subject of slots gaming and what each one has to offer.

    1)      Break the One-Armed Bandits by Frank Scoblete. Scoblete is a pioneer in the field of slots and he has proven time and again with his writings how viable his instructions are. He offers a complete history of slots in this book. The great thing about his writing is that it is easy to follow and understand. For the novice slots player, this is a great resource to enjoy.

    2)      Slot Machines: A Pictorial History of the First 100 Years by Marshall Fey. This book is a great resource for anyone wanting to know where slots came from. Fey is a great author because he knows the history well—his great great grandfather Charles Fey was the creator of the first slot machine way back when. It’s fun to read his words recounting his family’s business and how it developed over the years into one of the more popular gambling games in any casino in the world.

    3)      Secrets of Modern Slot Playing by Larry Mark. This is a short book—just 48 pages but don’t let that fool you. Mark manages to give the reader insight into the minds of the casinos, thus increasing the players’ chances of knowing which machine to play, and those to avoid. An enjoyable read for those not so familiar with slots and those wanting to improve their game.

    4)      All Slots Made Easier by Gayle Mitchell. Mitchell is a good resource for all things slots related. This is an exceptional book in that it offers a lot of advice on strategies when it comes to choosing what games to play and what to remember when choosing.

Overall all four of the above books are great resources for anyone to read. They offer some great gaming tips and tricks and will help any slots player have more fun playing.

    Slot Machine Resources- Part 1

    Wednesday, January 13th, 2010

For anyone looking for slot machine resources that can help with play, there are available books to help. Novice players can be intimidated sometimes. If players walk into a land-based casino, things can be easy. There aren’t a whole lot of challenges to gambling at a casino. Everything is clearly marked and rules are spelled out succinctly. Anyone who has problems nonetheless, can talk to the casino’s management or staff to get by. Plus with slot machines there aren’t long lists of bets or nuances to learn. For example, in poker, there are rules, hands to learn, strategies to perfect and visual cues to read. A player’s experience can play a huge roll in how a player fairs throughout a game or tournament. It benefits players of the same skill level to join together in gaming.

On the other hand, there are slots. Everything about slots is simple and straightforward. Players approach the machine, put in their coins, pull the lever and wait. The RNG, or random number generator, takes it from there. The RNG determines what the reels show and whether or not a player wins or loses. When it comes to slots online, it is just as simple. Developers worked to recreate the land-based experience of gambling to the online internet world. They did market research on what games work and what games didn’t. Then they translated the games into the virtual world. They quickly took off—just like “real” slots did back in the 1800s.

The only real complexity with slots is to understand the various types of games. For example, there are progressive games, 3-reel games, 5-reel games and 7-reel games. Some have games inside the games, while others are simply reel-spinning games. If you are new to the world of slots, then there are some resources available to help you learn as much as you want, as quickly as you want. The games can be used by novice players and experienced ones. Depending on your level of play and familiarity with the games, you can win big if you know a little about the games. Here are some resources that will help any player get better.

    Part two coming next.
